Listen now: the electric blue podcast
Ep. 1 The conception of Seen Library ft. Jordan Santos
It’s time.
Electric Blue has sparked into the audio realm.
Listen to the first episode below, featuring my dear friend Jordan Santos, author of no one asked and creator of Seen Library.
If you’re not familiar, Seen Library is a community for readers to converse and connect in person over meaningful and inclusive storytelling. Events center on book-givings, pop-ups, and drives featuring books concealed in creamy paper, adorned with a library card of clues featuring its most potent themes and quotes. Thus, giving people the chance to select a book not by its cover, but by a glimpse into its energetic experience.
I wanted to start this podcast with Jordan because I’ve watched Seen Library grow from a tiny what-if seedling into the blooming community it is now. I’ve witnessed Jordan protect this dream and follow it, even though others may not have understood it, or even if she at times did not understand it. But throughout her uncertainty, she purely aligned each of her actions with her intentions, routinely checking in on herself, to make sure Seen Library was and is always pointed in a direction that is the most true. In result, Seen Library has become an ever-evolving entity that features a vibrant, close-knit community of readers and book lovers that cross the globe.
I hope you enjoy our conversation and it inspires you to follow that what-if thought/dream in your brain.
To unlock a bonus episode where Jordan and I discuss the rise of celebrity bookclubs, how she feels about Seen library doppelgängers, and why we’ve been so underwhelmed by movies lately, become a paid subscriber to listen below.
